Thailand’s Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra is facing calls to resign after a leaked phone conversation with former Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen triggered widespread anger. In the call, Shinawatra referred to Hun Sen as “uncle” and called the Thai military “opponents,” fueling accusations of undermining national interests. Thousands have taken to the streets of Bangkok, accusing her of selling out the country and demanding her immediate resignation.
