Lebanon’s prime minister, Nawaf Salam, says plans to demilitarize the south of the country are “on track”... with the Lebanese army expanding its presence there, particularly near the border with Israel. But the Israeli army says otherwise, accusing Hezbollah of reestablishing its military infrastructure in the area.
Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr reports from the village of Beit Lif, where the Lebanese army is searching homes in an attempt to prevent Israeli military action.
